What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $185,000 – $228,000/year. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
In this position you can expect to work on site at least 3 days per week at – or an office near – Denver International Airport.

The Senior Vice President for Financial Planning will report to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Specifically, as the SVP, you will:

Direct and manage the Airport's Financial Strategy and Plan with associated financial portfolio of airport bonds and represent the organization's positions, initiatives and interests in multiple areas.

Provide expert advice on financial matters to internal and external stakeholders including Mayor, City Council, Investors and Airlines.

Make short and long-term precedent-setting decisions impacting multiple functional and operational areas.

Work with the Deputy CFO and the CFO to define the strategic initiatives and goals within the division.

Lead the performance of the division as related to the airport's Strategic Plan, and the associated airport and division level key performance indicators (KPIs).

Develop and implement strategies for optimizing performance with the goal of meeting or exceeding the established KPI performance benchmarks.

Develop and implement policies, programs, operating procedures and practices for the financial planning, reporting, capital planning and budgeting as well as O&M budgeting and reporting.

Manage the Airline Rates & Charges.

Implement and manage financial analysis and reporting.

Manage the capital planning and funding process, including grants.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to the specific functional or operational area.

Experience Requirement: Five (5) years of leadership experience, which must have included director-level management responsibilities. One (1) year of management experience must include budget and fiscal oversight responsibility, evaluation of business processes, and policy and decision making experience with planning and organizing multiple programs, projects, operations or functions.

Education/Experience Equivalency: Two (2) years of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.

License/Certifications: This job requires driving. Requires a valid Driver’s License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
Additional Information
FBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.
Snow/Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
