Mercy Housing is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Director of Marketing and Communications to lead our brand strategy, storytelling, and content development. This role will elevate our national visibility and support regional fundraising and community engagement. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, creative leader, and exceptional collaborator with deep digital expertise, team leadership skills, and a strong track record in growing and engaging constituents in support of mission advancement.
This is a hybrid role based in Denver, CO.
Pay: $125,000 – 135,000k annually, dependent on experience

Duties:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the organization’s mission, vision, and business objectives.
- Oversee editorial direction, message architecture, and integrated communications strategies across all channels, including digital, social media, website, email, and offline platforms.
- Establish audience segmentation practices that identify current and target audiences and tailor communications accordingly.
- Design and implement comprehensive communications strategies in partnership with regional teams to support fundraising, real estate, advocacy, and community engagement goals.
- Align regional communications with enterprise-wide messaging, empowering local teams to adapt content for cultural and community-specific resonance while maintaining brand integrity.
- Drive the development of impactful storytelling, compelling campaigns, and innovative strategies that engage and grow our audience, enhances brand awareness, and positions the organization as an industry leader.
- Establish and track key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of brand and content initiatives and optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently to deliver high-quality campaigns and projects on time and within scope.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, content creation, and marketing leadership, with proven success developing and executing integrated marketing strategies in support of fundraising and growth goals.
- Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editorial skills, with a strong portfolio of brand and content work.
- Strategic thinking, positioning, storytelling with the ability to translate business objectives into creative marketing initiatives.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and team management skills, with experience building and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
