Location and Schedule

  • This position will report to Denver International Airport

  • Monday to Friday

  • 8:00am – 5:00pm

  • The City and County of Denver utilizes a hybrid model workplace that balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field at least three days a week and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days.

What You'll Do

DEN’s Center of Equity and Excellence in Aviation (CEEA) division is currently seeking an energetic Business Operations Administrator to join their team and will report to the Director of CEEA. CEEA is part of DEN’s Strategic Plan, Vision 100 which has set a clear path to successfully reaching 100 million annual passengers.  CEEA is the first of its kind of the aviation industry aimed at engaging, educating, empowering and motivating small businesses, students and employees. CEEA is intended to be a place for all, but with a targeted effort on under-represented communities.

A successful candidate is responsible for a wide range of job responsibilities that require strong project management skills, such as attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines with multiple priorities.

 

Core job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manages team administrative duties to include logistics coordination, scheduling meetings, coordinating catering, reserving conference room space, and organizing presentations and events

  • Provides administrative support to senior leadership of the CEEA portfolio and other team members as needed

  • Leads short and long-range projects for special assignments that involve creating a schedule, milestones, resource needed, deliverables and project evaluation

  • Acts as a liaison between airport divisions for programming within CEEA and other stakeholders as needed

  • Assists leadership team in gathering weekly report content for EVP review

  • Supports the tracking of key performance metrics and trends team project performance in alignment with airport strategic objectives

  • Assists with meetings and tours held at DEN, including collecting and processing visitor information for security clearances

  • Maintains teamwork tracking tools that include SharePoint, MS Teams, and other software applications

  • Serves as the CEEA administrative point of contact and Authorized Signatory for team security badges

  • Manages administrative tasks related to division expense contracts, associated purchase orders, invoices, and payment processing

  • Serves as a purchase card holder and supports the team with all necessary purchases, to include managing purchase orders and invoice payments through the Workday financial system

  • Organizes and processes travel requests, reservations, logistics and reimbursements for the CEEA division

  • Develops and manages team standard operating procedures and processes

  • Manages unexpected and complex tasks and projects and tasks with a ‘can do’ attitude

  • Professional experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced complex professional environment

  • Prior experience working in a project management function

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience coordinating programs and/or assisting professional/management staff with administrative or operational functions

  • Strong leadership, initiative, and communication competencies

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience administering business operations or operational programs and/or assisting professional/management staff with administrative or operational functions.

  • Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of posthigh school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.

  • Licensure: By position, must obtain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) clearance within the probationary period

FBI Background Check

FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.

Snow/Emergency Duties

Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
