Chief Executive Officer

  • Provides executive leadership for day-to-day operations, regulatory performance, and overall strategic direction of the OPO.
  • Oversees operational, financial, quality, and strategic plans, with performance outcomes reported to the Board and system leadership.
  • Ensures full compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and governmental requirements related to organ donation and transplantation.
  • Serves as primary liaison to the Board of Directors, supporting effective governance, policy oversight, and transparent communication.
  • Represents the organization externally as a key spokesperson and partner to transplant centers, regulators, community stakeholders, and media.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years progressive experience in healthcare management and executive leadership roles within an Organ Procurement, Hospital or health system environment required.
  • Demonstrated executive leadership ability to inspire, build consensus, manage conflict, drive change, and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture.
  • Strategic thinking, business acumen sound judgment, and strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proven experience in performance excellence, quality improvement, regulatory environments, and enterprise-wide initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma a plus).
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influence skills, with a track record of driving innovation across cross-functional teams.

  • $375,000-435,000 annual base compensation
