The Senior Manager of Government Affairs presents and advances VF’s government relations agenda before elected officials and government decision makers in the U.S. The leader in this position is responsible for lobbying regarding but not limited to product safety standards, environmental laws, sustainability endeavors, agriculture, transportation/logistics, infrastructure, privacy and tax.
The position is responsible for working with the Governor, the state’s federal liaison, and other members of the Governor’s team and agencies to set and achieve federal priorities and support the Governor’s Office of Federal Funds in the implementation of federally-funded programs.
We are seeking an experienced and government-relationship-building professional to serve as Assistant Director of Governmental and External Affairs. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Assistant Director of Governmental and External Affairs will represent the City and County of Denver, working closely with City Council and Denver’s neighborhood districts.
The Government Affairs Manager will assist and collaborate with the President & CEO with business-related political issues to help keep members informed of key issues and to assist in influencing legislation at the state and local level.
The Government Relations Liaison is responsible for developing, leading, and executing the organization’s comprehensive government affairs strategy at the federal, state, and local levels. This position will oversee the management, compliance, and reporting of awarded grants while proactively identifying and pursuing new funding opportunities to support the Cooperative’s initiatives.
This position develops and executes multi-faceted strategies to defend and secure new conservation protections, initiatives, policies and laws for at-risk species on National Forest System lands by working with agency decision-makers, influencing members of Congress, building coalitions and coordinating relevant environmental community advocacy efforts, and, when necessary, supporting strategic litigation, among other activities.
The Director of Government Relations develops strategies and directs all government relations and advocacy activities to create awareness and secure support for the Zoo’s mission and initiatives. This role involves strategic leadership, collaboration with key stakeholders, and effective communication to further DZCA’s mission and goals.
