The Government Affairs Liaison will be located in the External Affairs Department within the Office of Strategy. We encourage collaboration, problem solving, and personal growth. There are three Divisions within the department – Government Affairs, Community Engagement and Public Education and Information. Metro values excellence, integrity, inclusion, and collaboration.
This position will coordinate department legislative priorities and ensure all deadlines are met to ensure successful advocacy. This position will work closely with the Office of Government Policy and Public Relations to foster and leverage stakeholder relationships as it relates to the legislative process.
This position will be a vital member of the University Strategy and External Affairs team and will lead the creation and execution of the university’s government affairs strategy. The Director will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with government officials and their staff at local, state, and federal levels to advance MSU Denver’s priorities.
