Location/Division Specific Information

Transplant Diagnostics Division develops and distributes a comprehensive line of typing and antibody detection products, laboratory instrumentation, computer software, and clinical laboratory services that are used to help match patients and donors before transplant, monitor patients post-transplant, and advance research in the transplantation space.

This high-performer will report into the Senior Manager of Global Digital Marketing, and we will have accountability for driving robust programs for critical marketing channels that drive engagement with clinical buyers. This person will have a passion for building, measuring, and driving constant improvement across all paid advertising channels to ensure a successful marketing mix that helps our customers find the right solution. This person will join a team of marketing  professionals who define and lead ongoing global marketing programs, and support regional programs for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s transplant diagnostics business that provides testing solutions for the clinical and research lab environments.

A Day in the Life

  • Partner with the Content Marketing Manager and Marketing Managers to identify the appropriate ad mix for each key segment, and lead efforts to create and deploy ads that serve the right message to the right customers, at the right time
  • Run a broad range of SEM campaigns that support the team’s strategic areas of focus, and deliver ongoing performance improvements for traffic quality, site engagement, improved bounce rates, etc.
  • Actively manage and coordinate digital budgets across channels, manage billing, invoicing, and accruals to ensure proper financial tracking of the team’s marketing spend
  • Drive a comprehensive social advertising program by working with internal and external agencies to drive increased performance and to improve leads and revenue
  • Implement regimented reviews of social, display, and SEM campaigns to drive iterative improvements in targeting, messaging, and to ensure an optimized channel mix based on performance and investments
  • Create, manage, and promote advanced analytics reports to drive improvements and to promote the value of our advanced digital marketing team
  • Leverage best-in-class audience tools to ensure all paid activities are targeting the right users, and constantly pilot, evaluate, and refine audience targeting options based on cost and performance
  • ·Manage paid advertising service providers that will assist you in the technical build out of ads in various channels, and hold the agencies to the highest performance standards
  • Develop and implement a search engine optimization “SEO” strategy and supporting program by partnering with cross-functional team members to identify the priorities and to execution and reporting in support of the formal program
  • This position interacts with varying levels of internal and external personnel and will require direct customer communication, public presentation, and a team-focused approach.
  • Work closely with regional marketing development managers to build and marketing programs within their regions. 
  • May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned. 
  • Ensure creative marketing materials undergo regular review and adhere to brand guidelines 
  • Maintain marketing program KPIs and metrics dashboards to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities; report on these metrics regularly and adjust tactics to improve performance 

Keys to Success

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business communications, marketing, digital marketing, or related degree  

Experience

  • 2+ years managing large-scale B2B social campaigns on Facebook, Linkedin, and Twitter
  • Experience marketing to clinical environments, marketing medical devices, or working with FDA regulated content strongly preferred
  • Google Ads, Adobe Marketing Cloud, or other related certifications in SEM, or 3+ years experience managing SEM campaigns
  • Certifications or coursework in Google Ads, Adobe Marketing Cloud, or Oracle Marketing Cloud preferred
  • Experience with a DMP, CDP, or Adobe Audience Manager strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to launch and drive lead-generation campaigns in a B2B environment
  • Exceptional skills in developing complex digital marketing initiatives including authoring content for webpages, display advertising, search engine marketing (SEM) and optimization (SEO), social, video and automation approaches 
  • Creative intuition on design and messaging that resonates with customers and an ability to learn from previous marketing campaigns to improve performance 
  • Ability to distill complex information into concise and easy to understand concepts 
  • Ability to identify and understand new application uses for existing technology and new product introductions 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to present to varying audience sizes  
  • Fast and self-starter learner, with the ability to work in a dynamic team adapting quickly to a changing environment 
  • Possess excellent project management, organization, time-management, planning, and budgeting skills 
  • Ability to translate metrics in actionable business decisions  
  • Collaborative partner who can influence across functional teams and geographies in a complex, highly matrixed organization 
  • Ability to travel up to 15%

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $83,800.00–$115,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
