POSITION PROFILE

The Marketing and Communications Manager plays a vital role in executing Bravo! Vail’s marketing and development strategies. This individual manages the production and distribution of content across digital, print, and live channels to support institutional goals including audience growth, donor engagement, and brand visibility.

A detail-oriented and collaborative team player, this individual support campaign planning, oversees collateral development, manages cross-functional timelines, and contributes written content for fundraising, event promotion, and public-facing communications. Position full-time, exempt, salaried, and on-site in Vail, Colorado. This position is not eligible for remote work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management & Campaign Coordination

  • Serve as Bravo! Vail project manager for all print and digital collateral, including program book, special mailings, annual reports, and event promotions;
  • Manage communication calendars, timelines, and approvals across departments;
  • Coordinate content gathering and collaboration with internal teams, interns, and designer;
  • Manage graphic design projects and communications between departments;
  • Create and manage budgeting tracker for marketing and sales in collaboration with marketing and sales teams;
  • Record and distribute minutes of Marketing team meetings and other duties as assigned;

Content Creation & Copywriting

  • Draft and edit marketing collateral including brochures, website updates, and press materials;
  • Support digital marketing in communications copy and social copy as needed;
  • Collaborate with all department teams to ensure all content meets brand standards;
  • Review all public-facing content for clarity, consistency, and adherence to Bravo! Vail’s style guide other duties as assigned;
  • Work with VP of Marketing & Communications and graphic designer to develop organizational guidelines for branding and messaging;

Digital & Social Media

  • Collaboratively plan and schedule organic and sponsored social media content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) to align with all departmental messaging needs;
  • Collaboratively oversee timely uploads and content descriptions and recognition for Bravo! Vail’s digital social platforms;
  • Support email marketing strategy in collaboration with marketing, development, and education teams and other duties as assigned;
  • Assist in development, layout, copyediting, and improvements of digital communications as needed;

Fundraising & Donor Communications

  • Assist in drafting donor-focused communications and coordinate logistics for fundraising campaigns and donor events as needed;
  • Collaborate on recognition efforts across all platforms, including social media and concert signage other duties as assigned;
  • Maintain timelines and delivery of stewardship projects, acknowledgments, and materials;

Public Relations & Institutional Messaging

  • Draft and distribute letters, marketing collateral copy, blog content and internal articles promoting Bravo! Vail’s programs, artists, and impact;
  • Assist with local press outreach, editorial opportunities, and partner communications;
  • Ensure consistent messaging across departments and materials;

Patron Services & Sales

  • Collaborate with Patron Services team to communicate messaging topics and important deadlines for collateral and public facing communications;
  • Assist patron services in the box office as needed during the Festival on location for reservation check in, ticket distribution, or other assigned task;
  • Assist with other projects as needed;

Data Analysis & Business Intelligence

  • Collaborate with business intelligence on assets and data needed for project execution;
  • Assist in messaging any updates, special trainings, and project timelines affecting marketing in the business intelligence realm;

Festival & Event Support

  • Help coordinate seasonal photography and content capture during Festival events, offseason special events, and special projects;
  • Support on-site marketing needs including collateral distribution, donor recognition, and signage;
  • Manage and supervise interns, apprentices, or seasonal assistants during the Festival;

The duties listed above should not be considered all-inclusive. The person in this position is expected to perform other work-related duties as assigned, even though they may not be considered primary duties.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CAPABILITIES

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or related nonprofit work; arts marketing preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Trello, Adobe Suite, email platforms (e.g., Wordfly), and basic CMS or design tools (e.g., Canva, Meta Business Suite)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or experience working in a non-profit organization, or applicable administrative and customer service experience;
  • Experience using fundraising and CRM software systems is preferred. Tessitura preferred but not required;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong copywriting and editing ability
  • Highly organized with exceptional project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism
  • Collaborative spirit and strong interpersonal skills
  • Passion for the performing arts and alignment with Bravo! Vail’s mission
  • Understanding of design and production workflows;
  • Spanish language proficiency a plus;
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends during the Festival (late June through early August, annually);
  • Extremely well-organized, with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with a variety of people and personalities;
  • Ability to problem solve and take initiative;
  • Professional, enthusiastic, and positive attitude even in high-pressure situations;
  • Knowledge of/enthusiasm to learn about marketing in the non-profit arts;
  • Interest in classical music and/or the performing arts.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment (depending on position)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Annual salary range between $72,000 – $78,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
