The Glenwood Springs Post Independent, a daily newspaper in the Roaring Fork Valley, seeks a general assignment reporter who can help us deliver on our goal of being nothing short of great. Glenwood Springs — known as the Land of Water because of its world class hot springs, and the confluence of rivers — is 40 miles from Aspen and 50 miles from Vail. We are at the heart of year-round, world-class outdoor recreation, from whitewater rafting, bicycling and hiking to Nordic and alpine skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. Because of our elevation, we have fantastic summers and a milder winters than our ski-town neighbors. Because of our location, we are a short drive from world-class winter activities.

We’re looking for someone with an adventurous spirit who has a love for mountain towns. We need an ambitious storyteller who can turn a phrase, shoot an image, edit a video and send a tweet — all on deadline.

The Reporter-Herald in Loveland, Colorado, is seeking a motivated reporter to cover city government, politics and other general assignment news in Loveland and surrounding communities. The successful candidate is a self-starter who is capable of producing multiple stories per day while developing longer enterprise pieces, and is as comfortable covering a house fire or neighborhood feature as he/she is covering a contentious city council meeting.

The Aspen Daily News seeks a seasoned reporter to cover the criminal and civil justice systems in Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley. General assignment reporting on other public affairs beats, as well as feature writing and editing skills, are also required.
