The University of Colorado and the Advancement Marketing and Communications team encourages applications for the Director of Storytelling and Communications. As a team lead and influencer, the Director of Storytelling and Communications, who also serves as the Editor of the Coloradan alumni magazine, owns all work related to the creation, production, and delivery of compelling and high-impact communications and initiatives across various platforms. Leading a team of three storytellers/writers/copy editors, and student workers, including the Senior Associate Editor of the Coloradan, this role is intensively relational and collaborative with external and internal partners, campus teams and administrators, Advancement teams, faculty, staff, students, donors and alumni. Reporting to the Executive Director of Advancement Marketing and Communications, the Director also writes and edits for various publications, leads story collection and ideas, and assists with internal communications and other publications that support CU Boulder’s overarching goals. The Director is passionate about strategic marketing and is eager to work in a creative environment where marketing and communications plans are built purposefully to tell stories and to drive Advancement’s mission to inform, encourage and engage. The position works in a coordinated, cross-functionality environment working alongside all of the Advancement Marketing and Communications teams.
