Senior Reporter/Assistant Editor

The Glenwood Springs Post Independent seeks a senior reporter/assistant editor to help lead the newsroom. The position will typically have you spend about 60% of your week reporting and about 40% of your week editing and helping to guide the newsroom in our efforts to be the quintessential news source for all of Garfield County’s residents.

We’re looking for the right person to fit in with our talented staff and hit the ground running — or insert your own applicable cliches here. A 4-year degree in journalism, or related field, is a must, alongside your experience at another paper.

We are looking for someone who likes to work hard and play hard — a mature, ambitious reporter who can write about the things locals and visitors want to know about: new businesses, events and the environment, while also asking top community leaders tough questions to act as a watchdog for five towns in Grand County (Granby, Fraser, Winter Park, Kremmling and Grand Lake).

News Editor

The position has responsibility for booking and proofing the Denver Gazette e-edition; editing articles; curating and selecting stories, including wire copy; and, working with other editors and staffers to pursue stories such as breaking new and other assignments.

Senior Specialist, Media Relations

The Sr. Specialist, Media Relations reports to the Director of Relations Manager and provides support within the media relations team. This position is responsible for helping to execute strategic media relations priorities in order to promote and elevate the University of Denver as a premier research institution and increase overall knowledge of the University.
